Sunday 7th saw the first HRECI sponsored skatepark day go off without a hitch. The weather was perfect for the day which ran from 10am until

2pm. Five representatives from
Pro-gression Action
Sports coaching turned up on the day to offer hints,
tips and advice to not just very young beginners but
also the best our park had to offer.

The idea behind the day was
to make contact with the
park users to understand
what their thoughts were on future activities at the excellent facilities. 28 people were interviewed with ages spanning from 11yrs to 29yrs - boarders and bikers alike and many notes were taken.

The information gathered will help drive funding applications for activities in the new year. One of the more popular suggestions was for a roof canopy to be installed making the park an all weather area, other ideas included better surfacing on the street course and evening lighting.

Thanks to everyone who came along on the day and thanks again to Pro-gression who helped HRECI take a credible step in the right direction.
