Greenfields recently held their first annual awards to celebrate the people who actively try to make a difference in their communities. The awards were split into four categories and people were asked to nominate those who they thought were worthy of recognition. Below we've listed the winners and runners up - Congratulations to all concerned!
Young Achiever Award
Criteria - This award recognises the achievements of a young person in the local area with a commitment to improving the local area (UNDER 18'S ONLY)
1st Place Aimee & Karen Dixon
Aimee and Karen were nominated for their efforts within their local community. Theyve helped to set up the Kelvedon Youth Forum and have helped to raised over £80,000 in various Grants over the last few years.

Outstanding Contribution to Resident Involvement
Criteria - This award recognises the continued efforts of someone who promotes getting involved with Greenfields, someone who dedicated their time to this, or someone who regularly takes your issues to Greenfields
1st Place Val Ahearn
Val has been helping residents on the Templars estate in Witham for 12 years. She is Chair for the Templars tenants and residents association and has organised many events for the local community, not to mention fund raising and spending time each week at the community hut where she is on hand to offer help and advice to residents.

Good Neighbour Award
Criteria - Do you have a neighbour who is constantly good to you? Perhaps they run errands for you if you are unable, or maybe they have just been there when you needed a friend?
1st Place Eric Halls
A wonderful neighbour for 41 years One quote to describe Eric Halls. Always on hand to help neighbours in need with his knowledge and tools - sometimes even taking over the task himself.

Community Award
Criteria - Do you know a group of people who are working to improve the community? Have been improvements in your area due to the hard work of a local group?
1st Place Humber Road Estate Community Initiative
This group, from the very beginning, have worked very hard for the benefit of their local area. They have championed many local initiatives and are a real example of a group working together to improve their local community
