The Humber Road Estate Community Initiative are sponsored by Greenfields Community Housing. As a group we meet regularly at Spring Lodge Community centre and discuss opportunities and plans to improve our Estate and act on areas that residents are concerned with. In January 2009 we sent over 600 questionnaires to our residents with a very good response. The study highlighted many issues such as litter, broken glass and speeding vehicles and gave us an initial focus. Since that time activities have been undertaken to improve on key areas details of which you can find on our feedback page.
This web site is a major development for our group and is intended primarily to provide residents with a guide to local services, many of which might be unknown to them previously. These can be found on our local info page with other useful information such as Health services and Public transport information. The site will also update you on activity such as estate inspections which can be found on our News and Events page.
!!! NEW !!! - In August we launched our Best kept garden competition with monthly prizes being awarded to estate residents, see our Best garden page for more details.
We are now looking to increase our committee members and would welcome any volunteers who can spare at least one evening a month to sit in on our meetings. We would also welcome any issues or concerns that you have relating to our community, or any ideas you think may help to improve the area we live in. Contact can be made either on this site by way of the cointact page or by email at the address above.
